Landscape Operative

Job description

We are currently looking for Landscape Operatives to join our workforce due to expansion.

The position is permanent and full time, with a competitive annual starting salary of £29,750 plus annual bonus, company pension, company sick pay scheme, uniform & ppe. 21 days holiday, increasing with length of service plus bank holidays.

Main duties are soft landscaping, fencing and grounds maintenance for a variety of clients, nationwide.

Working pattern Monday – Friday, usually with a start time of 6am in Worcester, average 10 hour working day, which includes travel to and from site.

Paid on an annual salary (not hourly rate), providing a guaranteed stable monthly income.

Saturday work occasionally available at an agreed daily overtime rate, paid in addition to salary.

For those who excel in the role there is an opportunity for promotion within the company to Senior operative and Team leader.

Time for a change? Whilst landscaping or construction industry experience is desirable it is not essential. We will consider applicants with other work experience and we offer full training both internally and externally. You will need to demonstrate transferrable skills from a previous career, a love of the outdoors and adaptability. The ideal candidate will be hard working, loyal and be keen to learn.

You must have a clean or nearly clean full manual driving licence

Estimating Administrator

We are currently looking for an Estimating Administrator to join our office team.

The position is permanent and full time with an annual salary of £27,500 plus annual bonus, company pension, company sick pay scheme, 21 days holiday, increasing with length of service plus bank holidays.

JOB DESCRIPTION – FULL TIME ESTIMATING ADMINISTRATOR

Working directly with Management, the role involves completing all administration tasks within the tender and quote process.

MAIN DUTIES

Booking in Tenders

  • Printing all documents received electronically
  • Liaising with customers to obtain all necessary information.
  • Booking tender in and allocating a number

Producing Bills of Quantities

  • From the information received, produce a set of bills for pricing. This can be from a set of bills provided, a drawing or a specification sheet.
  • Obtaining quotes for materials from suppliers.
  • Measuring Drawings.

Typing up priced tenders and quotes

  • Inserting prices into bills of quantities and quotes
  • Printing completed bills and quotes
  • Producing tender letter to accompany tender.
  • E mailing completed tender/quote to customer.

Chasing tenders/quotes

  • Contacting customers for updates on tenders/quotes submitted.

Maintaining tender and quote registers

  • Closing off lost jobs and archiving tender/quote documents.
  • Updating tender/quote register for contracts awarded.
  • Setting up job files for jobs awarded.

Updating active jobs

  • Printing revised drawings
  • Updating tenders/quotes
  • Resubmitting costs
  • Updating billing schedules

Assisting Finance Director

  • Assisting with administration tasks

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for maintaining the tender and quote register. Liaising with suppliers and customers and building up good working relationships.  Ensuring tender deadlines are met and opportunities are not lost.

HOURS OF WORK

Work pattern is Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will have experience within an administrative role (preferably 2 years).  Strong IT skills including Outlook, MS Word & MS Excel.  Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.  Well organised with excellent time management skills.  Able to multitask effectively to meet varying deadlines.

Educated to A level standard, with GCSE grade 5/C in maths & English.
